To create, by use of regional climate models, simulations of current and future scenario climates to enable better understanding of the impacts of climate variability and climate change on agriculture, natural systems, water resources, and human health.
The Iowa State University regional climate modeling team seeks to fulfill this mission by:
- Creating scenarios of current and future climates at regional scales for use by scientists studying impacts of climate change.
- Collaborating with researchers from other disciplines to both evaluate societal impacts of climate change and evaluate the uncertainty introduced by climate models in assessing impacts of climate change.
